Modular in the La Matapédia sector
Quebec's modular manufacturers ship their modules by road across the whole province: no factory needs to be established in the La Matapédia sector to deliver a project there. The building takes shape in the plant while the lot is prepared; what remains is transport, setting on the foundation and the connections — feasible in any municipality of the territory.
Procedures and regulations
Each municipality in the sector keeps its own siting, setback and use standards, within the frame set by the La Matapédia MRC's land-use plan. Nothing is uniform from one municipality to the next: before any commitment, verify with the project municipality's planning department that the planned building conforms to the target zone's zoning.

A modular project in the sector does not depend on a local contractor: the building is produced in a factory then moved by road, so most Quebec manufacturers accept deliveries anywhere in the province, including Bas-Saint-Laurent.
